How to contribute

An ecosystem partner with Industrial Asset Hub can take part in one or a combination of different roles that suit the specific use case.

Device builder

A device provider who wants to offer additional value for the devices can make the devices discoverable and manageable by Industrial Asset Hub. To achieve that, the device provider needs either to develop a respective Asset Link or introduce the Asset Hub gateway functionality into own devices. Having done that, IAH customers will be able to view and manage the new devices from one common software service.

The SDK including documentation as well as examples and further information is available on Github.

App provider

An app provider who wants to offer value on top of IAH can utilize the extensive IAH API for providing analysis and services on top of IAH’s inventory information. The offering can scale easily due to the common API that is independent of the discovered device classes and vendors.

Service provider

A service provider who needs to serve multiple manufacturing customers and is responsible for their equipment can use IAH for harmonization of service efforts. With IAH, information from different customers can be integrated in a common way, reducing the cost for service requests.
